PHP security tightening on Windows server.
PHP security tightening on Windows servers
Due to increased attempts to hack websites using allow_url_fopen (treatment of URLs as files) and being a major security risk, we have turned this function OFF.
Reason is the fact that hackers use this function to inject scripts on websites with new hacking methods, making it relatively easy to compromise any PHP enabled website.
This may affect some features on a number of websites therefore clients must take measures to replace scripting by different options. There are very high security risks on keep alowing allow_url_fopen.
